Imagine you are on an Adirondack lake or pond. The mist is rising off the surface. It is one of those memorable times when one of the most beautiful and elusive of all animal species, the rainbow trout, are rising for today's hatch. Throwing their usual caution to the wind, they sometimes rise with such enthusiasm that they defy gravity and leap into the air. Few of us ever get to actually see this phenomenon, one that has been depicted on many an artist's canvas, but rarely seen in photographs. Now, we can all enjoy the experience through the camera lens of award winning photographer, Brian Pelkey. Every time you gaze at one of these photos framed on your wall, it will take you to a special place.
